London Corporate Photography: North Investment Partners

We were recently commissioned to take business portraits of North Investment Partners, an investment group located in the City of London. As we extend into the field of corporate photography, we take on a steep learning curve in understanding what clients want, how their business photos will look like and getting the results right. The following are the portraits of North and its team.

Surrey Portrait Photography: Adela

Surrey Portrait Photography: Adela

Just before 2011 came to a close, Adela chose to have a portrait photography session with us, completing her Christmas wish-list with her partner Ondrej. We did a few indoor shots, with a very festive red theme (red nails, natch), plus some outdoor shots, recreating that night-time urban look. Our brick wall came in handy after all. And finally, Adela was very game to create a film noir femme fatale, pulling off that lady cigarette in style.

Surrey Portrait Photography: Baby Dominick Part 2

Seven months back, we did our first baby portrait photography with the adorable Dominick, now 11-months old and less than a baby and more of a bouncing kid yet still equally adorable. His Mum and Dad popped in to have their second portrait session, and let Domino do his thing in front of the lens. [...]

Warwickshire Wedding Photography: Amy + Neal

Warwickshire Wedding Photography: Amy + Neal

As she sips Louis Dornier champagne with her bridesmaids and preparing to slip into that symbolic white dress, outside her groom arrives in quite a stunning fashion. Cutting through the sky, clearing the clouds away, a helicopter lands on the well-manicured lawns of Billesley Manor Hotel to the utter surprise of everyone. The groom flies all the way to get married to his beautiful bride in a 16th-century Elizabethan manor. It’s nothing less than poetic – and this all happens in none other than Shakespeare’s County, in the sprawling Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire countryside, where Amy and Neal consummate their vows.

From the smooth preparation to the ceremony, to the reception and down to the speeches (Neal delivered an epic one, deservedly one of the best groom’s speeches we’ve ever heard) – everything was well-organised, sophisticated, glamorous and most of all, heartfelt. They tied the knot where Amy grew up, and fittingly so in the company of their lovely family, friends and relatives, and we had the greatest honour of documenting such a perfect day of happiness shared by two very wonderful people and everyone around them. Kudos also to Naomi, the wedding organiser at Billesley Manor – you’ve done such a terrific job and thank you for being so nice to us, despite coming from a long way, and making Amy and Neal’s day precisely managed.

To Amy and Neal, aside from being super-great clients, you both are truly incredible people. We’re glad to know you both, and thank you for trusting us to photograph your special day. Your wedding was one-of-a-kind, the best we’ve ever been to! Collaborating with you both was a joy, and we hope you enjoy and treasure these photos forever. We’re sure you’re now having the best road trip/honeymoon in your life across America, and we sincerely wish you both a remarkable life together in the future. All the best x

Personal: The Frog Island Garden Party

Personal: The Frog Island Garden Party

Situated at the edge of a lake, The Frog Island is an absolute dream house. We consider anyone who doesn’t want to live in this place slightly demented, as it’s a picture-perfect location to die for. Mr and Mrs Brian Savage opened up their gates and their beautiful trimmed, manicured and landscaped garden to charity, with guests, friends and family all turning up for the event, so we took the opportunity to allocate this special Sunday for some afternoon family fun.

I couldn’t help browsing around for the miniature details around the garden, filled with flowers, fruits and knick-knacks – the clock on a grapevine and a bird’s house on a willow tree are particularly quirky. That lake is, above all, sublime. One can spend hours staring out into that gorgeous vista, which looks invitingly serene on a summer day like this. Kudos to Maya for also serving up those spectacular strawberries with cream – it’s a delicious combo. And that barbecue afterwards is the cherry on top.

Personal: Agne + Friends

Personal: Agne + Friends

When she went back to her home country Lithuania 2 years ago, I knew I would miss this person very much. That was a sad time, folks. She’s one of the few best friends I’ve ever had, and we had a cracking time together with all our mischief at Kingston University. Now, Agne has returned to London and I couldn’t be happier to see her again, bringing her lovely boyfriend Marius and her awesome friend Edita. These Lithuanians are great fun to be with, and I had the pleasure to accompany them around London. Totally looking forward to visit Lithuania in the future!

Surrey Engagement Photography: Amy + Neal

We are very glad to meet this witty, exuberant couple. We joined Amy and Neal in The Grange, Surrey for their engagement portrait session, with the sprawling Beddington Park at the back of the restaurant. The timing was just perfect – it was a dazzling day (the clouds in England have all cleared up to give way for some sunshine, hurrah!) and the parkland literally glowed in the sunset. Both Amy and Neal were enthusiastic and very sweet all throughout. We had a great time photographing them and are incredibly honoured to be chosen as their official photographers. We’re smitten with their personalities, and we’re already excited for their wedding day on September!

Travel Photography: Stonehenge & Bournemouth Beach

Travel Photography: Stonehenge & Bournemouth Beach

For a typical English person, these photos might come as a surprise as a terrific weather like this doesn’t come much often in these islands. And no, these aren’t taken in Laguna Beach, California, but on the English coast of Bournemouth, as we, and our pals, went on a road trip from Surrey to Wiltshire and down to the coast recently. This involved lots of window-gazing, staring at a bunch of giant rocks, chasing cows, posing beside a blue Chevrolet and plenty of sunbathing. A fun day, then, and a break well deserved.
